Opera Sublima's shooting
Pixidols (Enkil and myself) and many nice coplayers were invited to the latest video clip of Matt Kukes. You don’t know him? Perhaps you have ever listened to his music: Opera Sublima. In this song, the DJ uses opera’s voices and dance. The first version of Opera Sublima is very funny. Now, the new version is relating a tale: Little Red Riding Hood. The video clip has been shot with both cosplayers and actors.
The adventure begins at the evening. For us, the extras a bus were planned in order to drive us to a village, which was around two hours of Paris. Actors and the staff were already on the spot, because they were working during the day. When we arrived to the restaurant, by the lake, we have to wear our costumes: dark and strange. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the first pictures were taken. At night, we went to the lake, in order to shoot. A campfire was already ready to burn. We did a ring around the campfire, and we had to approach flame, and heat! Neither the cape, nor the mask protected us from smoke and fire! But luckily everybody was happy to be there. Moreover, we were surprised that we have to start again and again the shoot!
Finally, we had to dance on Opera Sublima’s song approximately 1000 time! The staff encouraged us to dance, so we danced again and again! Lexi, the main character, looked after David, the other main character, and finally, she found him and he kissed her. It was so romantic!
Illusion Story took a lot of pictures, and very good ones! Illusion Story was established in 2009, in Paris. It’s an audio-visual team who shot music concert, video clips, and short films. This team wants to share hobbies, while they are working.
Opera Sublima’s video clip was realized by Five to One Production.
We want to thanks a lot Mickael for inviting us, and also the staff because thanks to them, I have discovered how a real movie shooting is made.
Finally, thanks a lot all to all the cosplayers participating! Because of your enthusiasm, this evening was very fun!
